Greet Death’s 2025 album Die in Love is also one of our favorites of the year, and you can stream it below.
JIM VERSLUIS OF GREET DEATH’S FAVORITE ALBUMS OF 2025
As easy as it was to compile my list this year, it was equally as difficult to argue this selection as the greatest. But it is, so here we go!
FKA TWIGS – EUSEXUA
A fearless innovator. I’ve been obsessed for over a decade and my eyes are still glued to her, Dave Franco style.
GRAHAM HUNT – TIMELESS WORLD FOREVER
With records this excellent and songs like Emergency Contact already in the canon, I hear boundless potential.
PINKPANTHERESS – FANCY THAT
If anyone saw me on the elliptical at a Comfort Inn this year between the hours of 1 and 3am, I was listening to this album twice.
SMUT – TOMORROW COMES CRASHING
Shit fucking rules.
BLACKBRAID – BLACKBRAID III
Shout out to my buddy Cam for putting me on. My most listened to album this year while in a planet fitness massage chair.
ADDISON RAE – ADDISON
Diet Pepsi is a great lead single. Headphones On and Fame is a Gun were the true gags though, and serious contenders for song of the year.
DEAFHEAVEN – LONELY PEOPLE WITH POWER
Another high mark from the best. Count them out and you’re doing yourself a damn disservice. Great album.
SETH BECK – SOFT HEAVEN
I love him. Grateful to call him a friend and to have collaborated with him in some small way on his best work thus far.
SHARON VAN ETTEN & THE ATTACHMENT THEORY – SHARON VAN ETTEN & THE ATTACHMENT THEORY
A goth and darkwave influenced record from one of my favorite working songwriters was never not going to work for me.
MIKAYLA GEIER – HOT POT!
This woman is hilarious. Bouncing through banger after banger with ease. I may have missed The Diva Tour but I will never again miss the Diva tour. No skips. Thank you Ashley.
