NIROSTA STEEL

Nirosta Steel, the Arthur Russell collaborator who unexpectedly has one of the most lauded albums of this year, has added a Chicago show:

RIVER SHOOK (FKA SARAH SHOOK)

River Shook (fka Sarah Shook) is on tour now through the summer and into the fall, including an NYC show at new Greenwich Village venue Bleecker Bell on September 24.

URGH! A MUSIC WAR / REVOLUTIONS PER MOVIE

Cult classic 1981 concert film URGH! A Music War, which features amazing live performances from across the punk, post-punk, and New Wave scenes, is going on tour thanks to great podcast Revolutions Per Movie.

HYD

Singer-songwriter Hyd is playing a one-off at Brooklyn’s Elsewhere Zone One on September 1 with Natalia Catalan.

EMPTY COUNTRY

Empty Country, the post-Cymbals Eat Guitars band led by Joseph D’Agostino, is playing a one-off NYC show at Pianos (which is getting some cool shows again) on October 3. Is a new record on the way?

HOPSCOTCH 2026

Raleigh, NC’s Hopscotch Music Festival happens September 10-12, and they’ve announced just announced the 2026 lineup which includes Algernon Cadwallader, Kylesa, Soccer Mommy, Thomas Dollbaum, Dexter and the Moonrocks, MEMORIALS, and more.

MEMORIALS

MEMORIALS, the UK duo of Verity Susman (Electrelane) and Matthew Simms (Wire, It Hugs Back), will be back in the US in September to play Raleigh’s Hopscotch Festival, and ahead of that they’re playing a few East Coast headline shows.

MARIACHI EL BRONX

Mariachi El Bronx have announced the “You Ése Tour” with Bedouin Soundclash and Max Diaz. The tour hits NYC on September 25 at City Winery.

DILLY DALLY FEST 4

The 2026 edition of Philly’s Dilly Dally Fest happens November 13-15 at Underground Arts and across the three days performers include Pianos Become the Teeth, Jejune, Rye Coalition, Eldritch Anisette, and more
