MIKE D

Having already mapped out a few late summer East Coast dates (including NYC’s Knockdown Center on September 9), Beastie Boys’ Mike D has announced a full tour in support of his upcoming solo debut. It starts September 20 in Santa Ana and wraps up October 20 in Toronto. After that he heads to NYC.

MELT-BANANA

Japan’s Melt-Banana will be in the US in September for Riot Fest and Levitation and have now announced a full tour around those appearances.

THE AVALANCHES

Are The Avalanches about to announce a new album? Probably but one thing’s for sure — they’re playing NYC in October.

NIROSTA STEEL

Nirosta Steel, the Arthur Russell collaborator who unexpectedly has one of the most lauded albums of this year, has added two more NYC shows.

SHANIA TWAIN

Shania Twain’s new album Little Miss Twain is out Friday and she’s currently in NYC to promote it, including an intimate release show at Racket on Thursday (7/23) and it double as the launch for her new SeriusXM channel. She’s also got a pop-up on Friday at the Umusic shop at 2 Penn Plaza.

REBECCA BLACK

Rebecca Black has announced a fall tour in support of her sophomore LP, Age of the Exhibitionist, that’s out this week.

COOTIE CATCHER

Cootie Catcher have announced a few dates happening in October. They are mostly in Canada but they will dip across the US border to play Brooklyn’s Elsewhere Zone One on 10/4.

ANAMANAGUCHI / COVET

8-bit wonders Anamanaguchi have announced a co-headline tour with Covet that will also feature Drook and sueter7 on select dates.

BAZOOKA! FEST ADDS STEPHIN MERRITT, MORE

Brooklyn’s Bazooka! Fest has announced a few lineup additions for this year’s edition (August 22 & 23 at The Meadows & Wood Shop), including Magnetic Fields’ Stephin Merritt, who will co-headline on Day 2, plus Joanna Sternberg and Josephine Network.
