Brandon Flowers of The Killers has announced his third solo album and first in over a decade. THRASHER, the follow-up to 2015’s The Desired Effect, is due out August 21 via Island. He recorded it at Nashville’s RCA Studio A with producers Shawn Everett and Jonathan Rado, and it features contributions from David Rawlings, Bruce Bouton, and Charlie McCoy. “As I’ve gotten older, I’ve found my way back to my father’s music – ‘Country-Western’ (as he called it) – and discovered that the stories I carry really feel most at home in the skin of this beautiful American tradition,” Flowers says.

The first single from THRASHER, “Plans,” arrives this Friday (6/26), and in the meantime you can watch a trailer for the album, and see the cover art and tracklist, below.

Flowers also announced a solo tour, with a North American leg beginning on September 1 in Phoenix and wrapping up on October 6 in Las Vegas. The NYC show is at Brooklyn Paramount on September 18, and tickets to that and all dates go on sale Friday, June 26 at 10 AM local, with presales starting Thursday, June 25 at 10 AM local.
