The Beach Boys Cancel Dozens of Concerts This Summer

The Beach Boys have abruptly cancelled a bunch of scheduled summer performances, including multiple state fair appearances.

The Beach Boys had a busy summer planned, but the band suddenly cancelled dozens of appearances, including multiple planned stops at state fairs. The band is in the middle of its Endless Summer Gold Tour, with shows slated through November—but performances between July 23 and September 3 have now been cancelled.

“Playing for you is the highlight of our summer every year—especially as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States while saluting the 60th anniversary of Pet Sounds,” the band said in a statement.

“We’ve been having a blast out there, and to keep the good vibrations going strong, we’ll be taking a short break to recharge before getting back on the road in September. Thanks for your understanding—we can’t wait to see you back out there.”

Among the state fairs impacted by the cancellations are Alaska, Colorado, Indiana, Oregon, and Wisconsin. Some dates have already been rescheduled, while others remain listed as “to be announced.” Unfortunately, the appearances most affected by the short notice, including those scheduled mere days or even hours after the announcement, will not be rescheduled.

“While we are disappointed that The Beach Boys have postponed their tour, we wish them all the best as they take time to recharge. At this time, we will not be rescheduling The Beach Boys’ performance at Bethel Woods, and all tickets will be refunded automatically,” read a statement from the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in New York, where the band was scheduled to play on Friday.

The Beach Boys have been bringing the summer vibes since 1961. The lineup originally included brothers Brian, Carl, and Dennis Wilson, their cousin Mike Love, and friend Al Jardine. Frontman Brian Wilson died in June 2025 at the age of 82.

Other members have come and gone, including guitarist David Marks and singer Bruce Johnston. Actor and musician John Stamos also sometimes joins the band.
