Taking Back Sunday announce ‘Louder Now’ 20th anniversary reissue with bonus 7″ (exclusive vinyl)

One of Taking Back Sunday‘s most classic albums, their 2006 major label debut Louder Now, turns 20 this year, and to celebrate it they’re giving it a new vinyl reissue. The 20th anniversary edition comes with a bonus 7″ featuring two of the album’s B-sides, “Brooklyn (If You See Something, Say Something)” and “Sleep.” We have an exclusive “Amazonite Swirl” vinyl variant of the LP, paired with the 7″ on standard black vinyl, limited to 500 copies and available for pre-order in the BV shop.

Louder Now was TBS’ second consecutive album made with Adam Lazzara on lead vocals, Fred Mascherino on guitar/secondary vocals, Eddie Reyes on guitar, Matt Rubano on bass, and Mark O’Connell on drums, following 2004’s Where You Want to Be. And if Where You Want to Be found the band hanging on to some of the same thrills as their instant-classic debut Tell All Your Friends, Louder Now found this iteration of the band coming into their own, taking a full step forward, and coming out with some of the most iconic songs of TBS’ career, including “MakeDamnSure,” “Liar (It Takes One to Know One),” and “What’s It Feel Like to Be a Ghost?.” Stream it below if you need a refresher, and make (damn) sure to add this to your record collection while it lasts.

Both Mascherino and John Nolan (secondary vocalist/guitarist on Tell All Your Friends and all of their albums from the 2011 self-titled onwards) are part of their current live lineup on tour, which includes fall shows with Thrice and Saves the Day, the latter of whom Adam recently reminisced about driving hours and hours just to see them play back in the day.

One of their upcoming shows, October 14 at the iconic Red Rocks, is a celebration of Louder Now. They also have festival sets on their schedule, and you can see all dates below.

Adam says, “Our record Louder Now represents a huge milestone for me and to know it has made an impact on so many other people’s lives as well is something I still struggle to get my head around. To have the opportunity to celebrate that record with both John Nolan and Fred Mascherino on stage together, along with Shaun Cooper, is incredible to me. The songs sound stronger than I can ever remember live and I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am to share that with everyone.”
