Evil Island (The Blood Brothers, OFF!) share video for debut single ft. Tim Kasher, XCOMM, more

Last year, Johnny Whitney, Cody Votolato and Mark Gajadhar of The Blood Brothers and Autry Fulbright II, formerly of OFF! and …And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead formed a new band, Evil Island. They didn’t share any music at the time, but they’ve now released their debut single, “Tiger Baby,” via Blowed Out Records. Whitney says, “We chose Tiger Baby for the first single from our new record because it’s kind of like the everything bagel of songs from the session. It’s heavy and crazy and chaotic but also very catchy and hooky which is very much what the entire record sounds like all baked into one song.”

Ross Robinson, who produced Tiger Baby, adds, “This is a record I’ve wanted to make for way too long, ever since signing and producing the Blood Brothers’ Burn Piano Island, Burn .. I feel Evil Island is the coolest fucking band on earth and dare anyone to step up to the unleashing fire these guys throw down- they’re the king of kings .. I can’t believe we got to make this thing, it’s an artistic/emotionally violent dream come true for me!”

The “Tiger Baby” video was directed, shot, and edited by Patrick Lascu, and features Tim Kasher of Cursive, Michael Gatto, Revel Ian, Adan Escoto, and Hunter Grogan of XCOMM, actor Kiowa Gordon. Watch it below.

XCOMM, the teenage hardcore band featuring Scott Ian’s son Revel Ian on drums, recently announced their debut album, and Kasher is also releasing a new solo album.
