Former Suede guitarist Bernard Butler, Teenage Fanclub‘s Norman Blake and James Grant (Love and Money) got together post-pandemic originally when they were all invited to play a show in Scotland. They got on so well they formed Butler, Blake & Grant and released their self-titled debut in 2025. They’re already announced their second album, Murmurs, which is out March 27 via Butler’s 355 Recordings.

The album was recorded in Blake’s studio and features songs from the trio’s respective catalogs, plus a cover of “Good Times,” which was written by Ben Gibbard for The Monkees’ 2016 comeback album. The first single from the album is Blake’s “Not Alone,” that was originally a bonus track on Teenage Fanclub’s 2010 album, Shadows. You can listen to that, and their debut album, below.
