Taylor Swift Donates $1M to Feeding America Food Bank Network

Taylor Swift spreads holiday cheer with a $1 million donation to Feeding America, a nonprofit network of 200 food banks fighting hunger in the US.

Feeding America has announced an incredible holiday gift from the incomparable Taylor Swift: a donation of $1 million to the non-profit charity. This charity operates a network of 200 food banks across the United States. Feeding America announced the donation on Instagram, thanking the pop megastar for the generous gift.

“We are incredibly grateful for Taylor Swift’s $1 million gift to Feeding America,” reads the post, signed by Feeding America CEO Claire Babineaux-Fontenot. “This holiday season, her continued support is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we unite to end hunger. When we join together alongside people facing hunger, we can make sure families have a full table this holiday season and beyond.”

In honor of her father, Scott Swift, Taylor also made a $1 million donation to the American Heart Association. Her 73-year-old father underwent quintuple bypass surgery earlier this year.

“Taylor Swift’s remarkable generosity will create lasting change far beyond its financial value,” said American Heart Association CEO Nancy Brown. “Her family’s experience with cardiovascular disease is all too common, affecting nearly half of American adults.”

“Her commitment to supporting her father will make so many others aware of the need to take their own heart health seriously, strengthen prevention efforts, and improve controllable risk factors—ultimately helping more people live longer, healthier lives,” Brown added.

In October 2024, Swift donated $5 million to Feeding America in a move to provide relief to communities recovering from the aftermath of Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton. She also made a $1 million donation after storms impacted Tennessee in December 2023. In a similar contribution, she gave $100,000 to the family of a woman who was killed at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade in February 2024.

Her latest move comes as her devoted fans, the Swifties, rallied support for Feeding America to help support food banks and those affected by the potential cuts aimed at the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP)—as well as the aftermath of the recent government shutdown. In October, Swifties for Hope encouraged fans across social media to donate $13 (Taylor’s lucky number) or whatever they could afford.

This morning (December 23) also saw the final two episodes released of Swift’s docuseries, “The End of an Era,” which landed on Disney+ just in time for the holiday season.
