Daydream Plus, the math rock/city pop band featuring three members of Tomb Mold — guitarist Payson Power, drummer Max Klebanoff, and bassist Kevin Sia — have announced their debut album. Second Last Day of Summer, which follows a pair of EPs, is due out on July 10 via Run for Cover. It was recorded by Darren McGill and mixed and mastered by Arthur Rizk, and it features guest appearances from Steve Lamos of American Football, Joseph Shabason of Destroyer and The War on Drugs, and Ryo Kishimoto of Fox Capture Plan. See the cover art and tracklist below, and pre-order the album on white vinyl in the BV shop.

Power said he “just wanted the album to feel like opening a can of pop on an above-average day,” and that feeling comes through on the first single, “Speed Limit,” which you can hear below.

Daydream Plus also teamed up with Batlab Electronics for a chiptune version of the album called Extended Forecast, which is available exclusively via a limited NES compatible cartridge.
