So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
DIVISION OF MIND – “AMBROXAN” & “EXOTERROR”
Richmond metalcore band Division of Mind announced their first new album since 2019, Exoterror, due out April 3 via Triple B, and gave us an early taste with two ripping singles, “Ambroxan” and the title track.

ROBBER ROBBER – “NEW YEAR’S EVE”
“Some of our songs start out as the four of us jamming together and this one was like that,” Robber Robber’s Nina Cates says of the lightly funky “New Year’s Eve.” The band’s new album Two Wheels Move the Soul is out this Friday.

GAY MEAT – “VODKA SPRITE”
Karl Kuehn releases his new album as Gay Meat, Blue Water, on April 24 via Skeletal Lightning, and he’s given us another preview with “Vodka Sprite.” “My mom wasn’t perfect,” he says. “And neither am I. She always battled addiction and substance abuse and that’s hard to understand when you don’t necessarily know what it feels like. In the years leading up to her brain injury she was in a particularly bad way. I would try to help her, to remind her that life was worth living, but there was a cynicism in her I couldn’t relate to. I watched her become someone I didn’t recognize while still trying to be the good son she raised.”

TINY VOICES – “(HOW CAN I) TAKE IT ONE STEP AT A TIME WHEN EVERYTHING IS HAPPENING AT ONCE?”
Rising Wisconsin emo/pop punks Tiny Voices followed up last year’s great Reasons I Won’t Change with a ripper of a new single that delivers more where that LP came from. It was produced and mixed by Hot Mulligan members Chris Freeman and Ryan Malicsi. They’re also hitting the road with Thoughts On Bowling and Adjust the Sails, including a Brooklyn show on May 10 at The Broadway.
