The Linda Lindas announce new LP ‘Gotta Get Out,’ share “Closer” ft. Hayley Williams

After announcing last month that they’ve signed to Reprise/Warner, The Linda Lindas have announced a new album. Gotta Get Out, their third album and first for their new label home, is due out August 28. See the tracklist below.

The album includes their June single “Burning Out,” and they’ve shared another new single, “Closer,” which features Hayley Williams. “‘Closer’ is about feeling like you’re losing control of time, and watching yourself grow older from afar,” Bela Salazar and Lucia de la Garza say. “Lately, we’ve been realizing how important it is to stay present, especially when our lives feel constantly in motion. It feels perfect that Hayley Williams was down to collaborate on this song with us, because we’ve been fans of her throughout so many of her different eras– and she’s seen us grow up over the last ten years! We’ll always be honored that we got to write and get emo with the queen of emo herself.”

The Linda Lindas support Bleachers on a few September shows, and play Tom Morello’s Power to the People festival in October. See all their upcoming dates below.
