Spotify expands Wrapped style recaps

Spotify ramps up its Wrapped recaps as part of its 20th anniversary celebration, releasing a limited-time look at your entire listening history.

As part of Spotify’s 20th anniversary celebration, the streamer has unveiled a limited-time, mobile-only in-app experience giving users a “playful, nostalgia-driven look back at your music listening history.” It contains moments such as your first day on Spotify, the total number of unique songs you’ve listened to, your first streamed song, and your all-time most-streamed artist.

Users will also get a special All-Time Top Songs personalized playlist—a collection of your top 120 tracks, complete with play counts shown. Just like Wrapped, each Spotify 20: Your Party of the Year(s) data story comes with a share card at the end of the experience, making it easy to save your results, share them with friends, or post them on social media.

The experience is available for a limited time across 144 markets and in 16 languages. To participate, just open the Spotify app and search “Spotify 20” or “Party of the Year(s),” or head over to the official website (on mobile only) to get started.

Spotify’s editorial team has also curated a selection of global playlists celebrating “the defining eras, movements, and cultural shifts from the past two decades.” Those can be found in the hub on Spotify.

Last month, the company also dropped lists of the most-streamed artists on the platform so far, as well as the top albums, songs, and podcasts as part of its 20th anniversary celebration.

Spotify’s annual Wrapped year-in-review feature has been a major driver of user engagement for the streamer and has helped it maintain its market dominance even as competitors have released their own Wrapped-equivalent features.

Last year, the Wrapped campaign was Spotify’s biggest so far, with over 200 million engaged users within the first 24 hours—19% more than 2024’s AI-centered bust. In 2025, users also shared their Wrapped recaps 500 million times.
