Season 28 of NBC’s “The Voice” introduces Mega Mentors Joe Walsh and Zac Brown, starting Monday, October 27, as the contestants enter the Knockouts. Brown makes his debut on the singing competition, joining coaches Michael Buble and Snoop Dogg, while Walsh joins Niall Horan and Reba McEntire.
Each coach enters the Knockouts with eight artists, and a lack of saves or steals during the round makes for some rough competition. Coaches choose the winner from their team to advance to the Playoffs, which serves as the final round before the Live Shows.
“The Voice” recently moved from its original time slot and now airs on Mondays at 8 PM ET on NBC and streams the following day on Peacock.
As the frontman of the Southern rock group Zac Brown Band, Zac Brown is a multi-platinum, Grammy-winning artist. The band was inducted into the Fenway Music Hall of Fame in 2022, and will be the first country-flavored group to have a residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas, beginning in December.
Joe Walsh has enjoyed a storied career that spans over five decades. He has released 12 solo studio albums to date, and has been a member of the James Gang, the Eagles, and a touring member of Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band. Walsh became a 2016 Kennedy Center Honors recipient as a member of the Eagles. The following year, he launched VetsAid, a nonprofit organization helping to support veterans and their families.
The Eagles were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998 and will be playing the Las Vegas Sphere this year, with dates stretching into 2026.
