Khruangbin covered Sade at intimate Webster Hall show (pics, video, setlist)

Khruangbin‘s debut album, The Universe Smiles Upon You, turned 10 this month, and to celebrate the Texas band announced a surprise tour of intimate clubs and entirely rerecorded/reimagined the record. That tour hit NYC on Monday night at Webster Hall.

Khruangbin played all of The Universe Smiles Upon You ii, along with “M. Blanc” (the reimagined version of “Mr. White”), “August 10” and “María también” from Con todo el mundo, and “Three From Two” from last year’s A LA SALA. They also dropped in a couple cool covers: “Firecracker” by exotica great Martin Denny (which is on their History of Flight EP), and Sade’s “Cherish the Day.”
