Singer D4vd loses more industry partnerships, including a spot on the Madden NFL 26 soundtrack, as legal scrutiny mounts and an indictment is expected.

Singer D4vd still hasn’t been charged with any crime in connection to the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, the teenage girl who was found dead and dismembered inside a Tesla registered in his name. But his lucrative brand partners have been bowing out left and right as the legal scrutiny intensifies.

EA Games’ Madden NFL 26 soundtrack was released in August, and included D4vd’s song “What Are You Waiting For.” While the song still appears on the tracklist online, TMZ reported that the track has been removed from the game’s official playlist. EA Sports has not yet responded to Digital Music News’ requests for comment.

That news comes just after Crocs and Hollister confirmed removing D4vd from a joint advertising campaign. The companies told Footwear News they were aware of the “developing situation” and had removed campaign materials featuring the artist while the investigation continues.

Authorities have placed D4vd on a list of persons of interest, according to ABC News, but he has yet to be charged with any crime. Sources also indicated to the outlet that investigators believe multiple individuals may have been involved in the dismemberment and disposal of Rivas Hernandez’s body. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet publicly released an official cause of death since conducting an autopsy.

Meanwhile, a grand jury has been convened to review evidence and weigh the possibility of charges. Sources tell TMZ that they believe an indictment might be forthcoming, but no timeline has been disclosed. The investigation remains ongoing.

D4vd abruptly cancelled his world tour when authorities confirmed the identity of the body found in the car. Police made the discovery on September 8 when responding to reports of a strong odor coming from a car at an impound lot. The 2023 Tesla had been towed from a Hollywood Hills street just days prior.
