Rather than mourning that decline, a group of friends decided to respond in the most honest way possible: by creating their own sound, on their own terms.

Their true creative home, however, was not the capital itself, but Moralzarzal, a small town tucked into the mountains outside Madrid. There, surrounded by open skies and a quieter rhythm of life, Casual Tailors began writing, rehearsing, and recording their first songs. It was in that environment that the band learned to value freedom over formulas, authenticity over polish, and connection over performance. From the beginning, their ambition was clear. With Deep Roots, the band began shaping a clearer identity. They learned to separate themselves from the process of self production and to focus on the collective sound rather than individual performances. That shift fully materialized in their second album, Take 2.

Then, in 2021, everything changed. The band lost their drummer Álvaro, a childhood friend and a central presence on Take 2. His passing was devastating. Music suddenly felt fragile. Stepping into the studio became difficult. Yet grief also brought clarity. It reminded them why they create at all.

The song We’ll Always Miss You became both a tribute and a turning point. Through it, their music grew more honest, more emotional, more united. When Diego, their original drummer and longtime friend, returned, the band found its sense of family again. Every release since has carried that history within it.

From their earliest recordings to tracks like Deep Roots, Give Me All, and If You Don’t Remember, Casual Tailors have allowed their sound to evolve naturally. They blend hard rock with pop melodies, pop punk energy with complex structures, refusing to limit themselves.
