Alabama Shakes share new single “American Dream,” add Radio City Music Hall show to tour

Alabama Shakes start their 2026 tour on April 16 in Richmond, and in celebration they’ve shared a brand new single, “American Dream.” It’s an atmospheric, bluesy, psychedelic slow-burner and Brittany Howard says, “It’s a snapshot of what we’re living through in 2026. I look around and wonder how we got to a place where there’s so much strain and so little support. I mean, it shouldn’t be impossible to take off work so you can bring your child to the doctor—that’s actually insane. My hope is that one day people will hear this song and say, ‘Yeah, shit was crazy back then, but we made it through.’” Listen below.

The band have also added a NYC show to the summer leg of their tour, happening at Radio City Music Hall on September 2 with Hannah Cohen opening. Tickets will be on sale soon and all dates are listed below.
