Radiohead’s Ed O’Brien announces new solo LP ‘Blue Morpho’ ft. Shabaka, shares title track
Radiohead guitarist Ed O’Brien has announced a new solo album. Blue Morpho is the follow-up to 2020’s Earth, which he released as EOB, and the first album he’ll release under his own name. It’s due out May 22 via Transgressive, and it was produced by Paul Epworth. Other contributors include Shabaka Hutchings, composer Tõnu Kõrvits, and the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra. He’s shared the lush and very pretty title track, and you can watch the video, directed by Kit Monteith, below.
A film to accompany the album, Blue Morpho: The Three Act Play, premiered at SXSW on Monday, and will be released alongside the album. Watch the trailer below, and stay tuned for more details.
