Cate Le Bon began her tour supporting last year’s great Michelangelo Dying earlier this month, and she stopped in NYC on Friday for a show at Irving Plaza. St. Vincent was on hand for the occasion, joining her during the encore for their recent collaborative track “Always The Same.” Before that, Cate played most of the new album, along with a few older songs, ending the night with “Harbour” off 2022’s Pompeii.
Frances Chang opened the Irving Plaza show, and you can see pictures by Emilio Herce below, along with video of “Always The Same” and the setlist.
Bill recently spoke to Cate about the new album, heartache, producing records with Wilco, Dry Cleaning, Horsegirl, and others, dogs, and more for an episode of the BV Interviews Podcast. Listen below.
