Amazon Music Premieres ‘Songline’ Series with A$AP Rocky Album

Amazon Music taps A$AP Rocky to headline the upcoming episode of its Songline performance series to promote his new album.

A$AP Rocky will headline the next episode of Amazon Music’s Songline performance series to deliver an exclusive presentation of new music from his latest album, Don’t Be Dumb. The special drops on Yams Day, January 18, at 9 PM ET, and will stream on Amazon Music, Prime Video, and Twitch.

To honor the legacy of A$AP Yams over a decade since his passing, the episode will feature appearances from members of A$AP Mob, as well as personal storytelling moments focused on Yams’ memory. The performance will also feature orchestrations from the incomparable Danny Elfman. Following the premiere, fans can watch the performance for 24 hours on the aforementioned streaming services.

A$AP Rocky’s Don’t Be Dumb has arrived today (Friday, January 16), with its lead single, “Punk Rocky,” already driving excitement. The Songline episode will provide a blend of live performance and artist interviews to offer fans a closer look at Rocky’s creative process.

“In celebration of my brother A$AP Yams, performing in New York is always special [and] a full circle moment,” said Rocky. “Yams believed in the vision [before] everyone. I want to thank Amazon Music Songline for allowing me to celebrate these moments.”

Rocky’s fourth studio album doesn’t feature an appearance from the artist’s partner, Rihanna. But it’s nonetheless a star-studded endeavor, featuring Doechii, Tyler, The Creator, Gorillaz, Jon Batiste, will.i.am, Bossman Dlow, Brent Faiyaz, Slay Squad, Thundercat, and Westside Gunn. It’s his first album since 2018’s Testing, with 15 tracks in total, including “Punk Rocky” and “Helicopter.” Rocky also allegedly brings six different alter egos into play across the project.

It’s not yet clear if the rapper intends to tour to promote the new album, but he is slated to headline Governors Ball 2026 on June 7.
