Phish began 2025 New Year’s run at Madison Square Garden (pics, video, setlist)
It’s that time of year again: Phish have taken over Madison Square Garden for their annual New Year’s Eve run, which began on Sunday (12/28). It was their 88th performance at the venue, and they broke out “Sleep,” with Trey Anastasio playing acoustic guitar, for the first time since 2019, and did a 24-minute rendition of “Theme From the Bottom” during their second set. Phish’s 2025 MSG run continues tonight (12/29) into Wednesday (12/31), which will bring them to 91 shows total played at MSG. They also have non-MSG shows coming up in 2026, including their return to Las Vegas’ Sphere in April and May, and before that, their annual Riviera Maya concert vacation.
