Digital Music News put out a similar call three days ago when the layoffs were first revealed. We received several responses from those impacted by these layoffs. At least one response has posited that the layoffs are only impacting talent over the age of 40. Most of the talent on the impacted list above does appear to be over 40, though not everyone is.

“I was impacted by these layoffs. I’m over 50 without a single report stating I have missed a revenue target. (Most people let go were over 40) It is also very well documented that I am the #1 seller of their most dynamic digital offering. Who let’s that guy go?” reads one response to Digital Music News.

“Many others are filing [Equal Employment Opportunity Commission] suits, from what I have been told.”

Another shared news of Corey Foley’s departure with the following comment: “It’s a pity, 101.3 already floods their programming with advertising and self-promotion. Commercial breaks are seven (yes, seven!) minutes in duration. I’ve timed them.”
