SOCCER MOMMY, SNAIL MAIL, AND FRANKIE COSMOS OPENING SLEATER-KINNEY / LIZ PHAIR TOUR

Sleater-Kinney and Liz Phair’s The Flannel and The Fury Tour starts September 6 and they’ve now announced that Soccer Mommy, Snail Mail and Frankie Cosmos will open, depending on the date. The tour hits NYC at Prospect Park on September 19 with Frankie Cosmos.

FRANKIE ROSE OPENING THE CHARLATANS TOUR

The Charlatans’ fall tour starts September 5 and they’ve announced that Frankie Rose will be opening. The tour wraps September 26 at Brooklyn Steel.

JIM WHITE, GUY PICCIOTTO, COLLEEN BURKE

Jim White’s Trio featuring Guy Picciotto (Fugazi) and Colleen Burke (Outrageous Cherry) are playing Chicago’s Sound and Gravity Festival in September and will play Ann Arbor before that.

SHEARLING

Shearling, the new band from former Sprain members Alexander Kent and Sylvie Simmons, just released new record Don’t Look at Me the Way a Dog Might Look at Your Leg will be on tour starting September 1 in Phoenix and play Brooklyn at The Broadway on September 16 with Brother Dragon and Luxardo.

@ “GARDEN PARTIES”

The band @ (At) are playing intimate “garden parties” this weekend: Philly tonight (7/31) atBartram’s Garden with Porcelaine and Devin Shaffer, and NYC’s 6B Garden on Saturday (8/1) with Leya. Shows are free with RSVP.

PATRICK WOLF

Patrick Wolf has announced a fall tour that begins October 27 in San Diego and wraps at NYC’s Drom on November 21.

SILENT MAJORITY

Another Silent Majority show, this one with a stacked all-Long Island bill including Crime In Stereo playing an album for its 20th, The Movielife (announcement seems to be teasing an EP anniversary play), Iron Chic, Somerset Thrower, and Cannonfodder.

AUDREY HOBERT

Audrey Hobert has added a third Brooklyn Paramount show on October 1 to her tour.

NEW YORK STATE OF SKA TOUR

Four New York ska bands—The Abruptors, The Doomstompers, Girth Control, and Ben Basile–are going on the “New York State of Ska” mini-tour that hits four different cities in New York State: NYC, Poughkeepsie, Troy, and Buffalo.
