Downtown Boys played Baby’s All Right with Ratas en Zelo (pics)

Downtown Boys released their first album in nine years, Public Luxury, last month via Sub Pop (read our review), and they’re nearing the end of their summer tour supporting it. They stopped in Brooklyn’s Baby’s All Right on Thursday night (7/23) for a show that was passionate, politically charged, and kept everyone moving, right up through the encore, a cover of The Strokes’ “New York City Cops.”

NYC-based accordion punks Ratas En Zelo opened the show, and you can see pictures by Ellen Qbertplaya below.

Downtown Boys have a few more shows this month, two more in September, and then they’ll be on tour in Europe in December. See all dates below.
