Saint Vitus Bar reopening in new Bushwick location

Saint Vitus Bar‘s beloved Greenpoint location was shut down in February of 2024 by the Department of Buildings, a shutdown that we hoped would be temporary but wound up being permanent. They’ve now announced a new location for the venue, at 428 Troutman Street in Bushwick! (That’s the former home of Brooklyn Made, which shut down last year).

Vitus has been leading up to this announcement with a series of videos where Günther, the mannequin by the bar at the old Greenpoint location, leaves his former home and begins his journey to his new one. You can watch the latest one, which has him arriving at 428 Troutman and going inside, below.

The video lists “Fall 2026” as the reopening date for Vitus, and we don’t know anything more specific than that as of yet, but stay tuned, and congrats to Vitus on their new location!
