The Notwist announce new album, share “X-Ray”

German band The Notwist have announced News from Planet Zombie, their 10th album and first in five years, which will be out March 3 via Morr Music. This marks their first album since 1995’s12 that the expanded live formation of the band recorded together in the studio.

“In the title and some lyrics I reference B- and horror-movies, which is a reference to the crazy world at the moment,” says the band’s Markus Acher, “which seems to be like a really bad and unrealistic B-movie.”

The first single is “X-Ray,” a wiggy, slashing rocker that sounds like it was made by every bit made by that expanded 11-person lineup. Give it a spin below.
