The Super Bowl LX opening ceremony performance will air live at 3pm PT on NBC, Telemundo, Peacock, and Universo. Green Day will transform the stadium, blending music, football, and Bay Area culture into a kick-off celebration for fans.
“We are super hyped to open Super Bowl 60 right in our backyard,” adds Green Day lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong. “We are honored to welcome the MVPs who’ve shaped the game and open the night for fans all over the world. Let’s have fun! Let’s get loud!”
“Celebrating 60 years of Super Bowl history with Green Day as a hometown band, while honoring NFL Legends who’ve helped define this sport is an incredibly powerful way to kick off Super Bowl LX,” adds Tim Tubito, NFL Senior Director, Event & Game Presentation. “As we work alongside NBC Sports for this opening ceremony, we look forward to creating a collective celebration for fans in the stadium and around the world.”
Following years of global chart dominance and sold-out stadium tours, Bad Bunny’s appearance signals the NFL’s continued embrace of diverse and international talent for its most-watched broadcast. Fans can expect a high-impact performance full of hits, visuals, and movements that have defined Bad Bunny’s award-winning artistry. It will be interesting to see if he can break Kendrick Lamar’s record-setting performance last year.
