Subway Surfers Adds bbno$ as a Playable Character

Viral musician bbno$ joins Subway Surfers as a playable character in the World Tour Buenos Aires update this week.

Endless runner-genre mobile game Subway Surfers has announced that viral musician bbno$ will be added as a playable character in the game when the World Tour Buenos Aires update hits on September 14 through October 4. Players can test their skills as bbno$ in the normal Subway Surfers game as well as the limited-time Subway Showdown mode.

The Subway Surfers Buenos Aires event features new outfits, new boards, and plenty of other fun rewards. The game is also launching its Collections on September 14, with Mid-Autumn Festival players getting a free Moon Board from September 21 to 27.

The Collections feature will allow players to track everything they’ve collected across nearly 15 years of Subway Surfers. Players can earn a collection score based on the total amount of content they have unlocked, which will reward them with additional benefits, such as tiered profile frames.

Alongside bbno$, the World Tour event will also bring fans back to Argentina, where players can run along the city’s colorful streets and cityscapes with a crew of art-oriented surfers. The newest mega character, Santi Grafito, new seasonable characters, outfits, boards, and other profile items will be available in the new update.

“The spotlights are on as bbno$ hits the tracks! Jump into the Showdown Challenge to unlock the chart-topping artist and bring his iconic style to every run,” reads the announcement on social media. “Other new content this season is Bruno’s outfit Pixel-Pro, Plankenstein Board, Sketchy Skater Board, Digi-Dash Board, Sandwich Illustration, Santi Grafito Illustration, Tasha Illustration, and the Comic Frame.”

We’re excited to not only see bbno$ in-game, but for fans to see and hear his art as they push for that next high score.”

Subway Surfers is known for collaborating with real-world talent, including musicians like Demi Lovato and J Balvin, as well as other celebrities and athletes, to launch as playable characters in-game. The news of his collaboration with Subway Surfers follows bbno$’s recent in-game Roblox concert, which saw so many virtual attendees that the game’s servers crashed.
