From Frustration to Foundation

Some of the most iconic creations in music history have come from moments of frustration, those sparks of realization that something could be better, louder, and more expressive. For the founder of Get’m Get’m and RightOn! Accessories, that moment was simple yet powerful. She recalls. “But one day, I realized that guitarists, especially rock stars, were walking onto stages with incredible instruments, only to wear the same plain, boring straps. I thought, why can’t a strap be as bold and unique as the musician wearing it?” That question became the foundation of a business that would blend craftsmanship, creativity, and fearless personality into every product. With a background in pet accessories and an unrelenting entrepreneurial spirit, she transformed frustration into opportunity. Having already built a , she decided to apply the same design principles, quality materials, eye-catching patterns, and practicality to a new market: musicians. Her first foray into design came long before guitar straps. It began with a single pet collar. “It wasn’t just about style, it was about creating something functional and fun for pets,” she explains. Those early collars, funky and full of character, taught her everything about materials, production, and the art of building a brand. And, in a twist of fate that still feels surreal, her first major client was none other than Oprah Winfrey. That experience set the tone for what would become Get’m Get’m Wear , a brand born from persistence, style, and the refusal to take “no” for an answer. From knocking on doors to convincing Guitar Center buyers to give her a chance, she hustled until the dream became real. Rooted in Los Angeles, the brand reflects everything the city embodies: diversity, creativity, and the fearless blending of cultures. “LA influences everything I do from the colors I choose to the boldness of the designs,” she says. “It’s about staying true to my roots while constantly pushing boundaries.”

Design with an Edge

What defines a true artist is the ability to take something ordinary and make it extraordinary. For this designer, the same rule applies to guitar straps. Her design philosophy stems from fashion, not function alone. “I look at trends, textures, and how a musician feels when they wear something on stage,” she explains. “It’s not just about utility, it’s about confidence. I want every strap to make an artist feel powerful, like a rockstar.” That philosophy is reflected in her unapologetic design motto: “It’s gotta look good and make you feel like a damn rockstar.” Each piece begins as an idea sparked by tactile inspiration. “I walk through downtown LA’s textile district, and when I see a fabric that speaks to me, I instantly imagine it as a strap,” she says. From there, she sketches, tests, and refines until it feels right. Every strap is crafted with the balance of beauty and function stitched by hand, tested for durability, and perfected with a designer’s eye. Unlike other brands, Get’m Get’m straps aren’t just accessories; they’re extensions of a musician’s personality. They are wearable statements, part of the performance rather than just the outfit. “Most straps are plain or just functional,” she notes. “Mine are bold, distinctive, and crafted for musicians who aren’t afraid to stand out.”

The Artists Behind the Inspiration

From the beginning, musicians have been both muses and motivators for the brand. “I watch how they move, what they wear, and how they want to feel on stage,” she says. “That energy drives everything I create.” The brand’s first major break came when Twiggy Ramirez from Marilyn Manson was photographed wearing one of her straps in Guitar World magazine only months after the product hit Guitar Center shelves. That moment changed everything. “Seeing a real rockstar connected with my design made me realize this wasn’t just a fun project, it was something meaningful,” she recalls. Over time, that connection evolved beyond the artist–brand relationship. “I don’t see them as clients. They’re ,” she smiles. “Musicians are creative, kind, and a little weird, like me. So, it’s natural that we build friendships.” That sense of camaraderie built a community around her work. Many artists now collect her straps, viewing them not as gear but as fashion statements. “I never expected musicians to collect my designs the way people collect sneakers or jackets,” she admits. “It’s amazing to see how they treat each one like a piece of art.”

Trials, Triumphs, and the Turning Point

No great story unfolds without a struggle. For this designer, one of the toughest moments came when she had to separate from a business partner who tried to claim her work as  . “It wasn’t just about business it was deeply personal,” she says. “I went through depression, rebranding, and rebuilding everything from scratch.” The battle led to a rebirth from Roco Industries dba Get’m Get’m Inc dba RightOn! accessories.  It was a painful transformation, but one that made her more determined than ever. “That experience taught me resilience and reminded me why I started to create something bold, authentic, and truly mine.” Since then, the brand has grown from LA’s local rock scene to an international stage. Artists from pop to metal now use her products, united by one thing: the desire to express themselves through style and sound. Even the occasional misstep became a source of growth. “Some designs just didn’t connect,” she says. “But I learned that a good idea has to feel right for the musician, not just look good on paper.” Authenticity remains her compass. “I stay true to my aesthetic, my craftsmanship, and my message. Innovation comes naturally when you’re honest with your art.”

Sustainability and the Future of Style

As the industry evolves, so does her sense of responsibility. “Even though I’m not vegan, I try to minimize waste and avoid using leather except for small, durable components,” she explains. “I want my brand to move toward complete sustainability.” The next chapter of Get’m Get’m promises both innovation and expansion. “We’re adding high-end accessories like strap locks, picks, scarves, and bespoke cases for guitars and cymbals. Everything we design has to be stylish, unique, and worthy of the stage.” And there’s more on the horizon. “We’re working on expanding to South America,” she reveals. “I’m excited to see how musicians from different cultures connect with our designs.”

A Culture of Confidence

If Get’m Get’m were a band, it would be loud, fearless, and inclusive, a perfect reflection of its creator. “I love all music genres,” she says. “Cultural diversity keeps creativity alive. My brand embraces all styles and backgrounds, especially at a time when the world needs more openness.” Before the pandemic, her team was a vibrant mix of people from all walks of life, and that diversity fueled innovation. “I can’t wait to rebuild that energy again,” she adds. And yes, their most charming tradition still lives on: “We always put our pets on camera during Zoom meetings.” When asked to define the brand in one word, she doesn’t hesitate: “Badass. Because it is.”

Young, Loud, and Fearless

For Get’m Get’m, being young and loud isn’ . “It means being bold, energetic, and unapologetic,” she says. “Even after all these years, I still feel young, and I’m still loud.”, creativity, and believing in yourself when the odds are against you. “Nothing was handed to me,” she says. “You have to work for it, but when you do, you can build something truly meaningful.” When a musician picks up one of her straps, she wants them to feel exactly what she felt when she created it: joy, pride, and confidence. “That’s what matters most,” she smiles. “When I see an artist perform with one of my designs, it’s like seeing my work come alive.” Her brand’s message is simple yet powerful: music is expression, design is identity, and every artist deserves to shine on stage with both. As she puts it best, “My brand makes bold, high-quality straps that let musicians look amazing, feel confident, and express their style on stage like no other accessory can.” And if her products could speak? They’d say exactly what she’s been saying all along:
“Let’s go.”
