Marie Davidson tells us about her favorite album of 2025

Marie Davidson made one of our favorite albums of 2025, City of Clowns, and now she’s here to tell us about one of her favorite albums of this year, Kara-Lis‘ A Series of Actions in a Sphere of Forever. “We live in a world of a constant noise, and a lot of music these days is overproduced and very loud,” Marie says. “This to me stands out because it is different and it’s beautiful.” You watch Marie talk about it and listen to Kara-Lis’ album below.

Marie also recently shared some some remixes from City of Clowns, including Soulwax versions of “Push Me Fuckhead” and the album’s title track. She also remixed Baxter Dury’s “Schadenfreude” and you can listen to those below as well.

There are a couple of Marie Davidson live shows in February: a hometown Montreal DJ set at SAT on 2/7 and a live performance at San Francisco’s Noise Pop fest on 2/20.
