Following a war cry of monocultural mould-smashing primal rhythms that take dance pop to cinematically intense new heights, GET INTO IT by @joecrook96 starts to take the form of a slightly more archetypal EDM floor-filler. Even the biggest build-ups and drops can’t diminish the rich rhythmic complexity which defines @joecrook96’s sonic signature.
Eastern guitars fuse with drums that make the Haka seem far less ferocious as the vocals feel like a whole stadium is behind the polished pop harmonies. The Oxford songwriter, working under his Twitter and Instagram handle, draws lyrical inspiration from travel and the wider world, and that global movement runs straight through the production’s percussive muscle. After around a decade writing across genres, he has used GarageBand and Suno AI to pull his ideas into full-bodied form while aiming towards a future writing for artists.
GET INTO IT has obvious commercial reach: fitness playlists, sports montages, festival warm-up slots and dancefloor rotations all feel within its grasp. Its strongest asset is the way motivation arrives through sheer kinetic force. If any dance-pop hit is going to inspire you to shake off complacency and get to the bottom of your bucket list, it is this scathingly motivational hit, landing hard whether you are listening during a workout session or fuelling your adrenaline on the dancefloor.
GET INTO IT is now available to stream on all major platforms, including Spotify.
