Dry Cleaning played Brooklyn Steel with Snõõper (pics, video, setlists)

After having to postpone the North American leg of their tour supporting this year’s Secret Love due to “increasingly hostile economic forces,” Dry Cleaning are officially on this side of the pond, and hit NYC on Thursday night for a show at Brooklyn Steel. They’ve been playing all of the new album at these shows, along with a few older tracks, and vocalist Florence Shaw was quite talkative between songs, encouraging people to dance.

Nashville art-punks Snõõper opened, and their “mosh-quito” puppet, with vocalist Blair Tramel inside it, made an appearance during the final song. It was also guitarist Connor Cummins’ birthday, which he shares with Dry Cleaning touring keyboard player Josh Eggerton, and both got a shoutout, with the crowd singing to Eggerton and Tramel mentioning Cummins.

Check out pictures from Thursday night by Edwina Hay below, both setlists included, along with attendee-taken video from the show.
