Kanye’s concert at a stadium in Chorzów, Poland, has been cancelled by stadium managers, just days after the controversial rapper postponed a show in France. French authorities were reportedly looking for ways to ensure the known antisemite would be barred from the country ahead of his scheduled appearance.
“We would like to inform you that the Ye (Kanye West) concert planned for 19 June 2026 at the […] Śląski stadium will not take place due to formal and legal reasons,” wrote stadium director Adam Strzyzewski in a statement.
Authorities in Poland indicated they were looking to ban the concert, with Polish Culture Minister Marta Cienkowska making a statement: “In a country scarred by the history of the Holocaust, we cannot pretend that this is just entertainment.”
News of the decision comes a week after authorities in the UK blocked the 48-year-old rapper from travelling to the country to headline Wireless Festival, which was subsequently cancelled.
Earlier this year, West apologized for his rampant descent into antisemitism, which he blamed on his untreated bipolar disorder. But his past expressions of admiration for Adolf Hitler, which included the release of a song called “Heil Hitler” and the sale of swastika merch on his website, have not been so easily forgiven.
The rapper who now goes by Ye was barred from entering Australia last year while the controversy was in full swing. He has since performed shows in the United States and Mexico City, and still has shows scheduled in the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, India, and Turkey.
