Three songs blending R&B, funk, and soul from Norman Feels’ original catalog are now available across all major digital streaming platforms for the first time. Feels’ work has quietly left a lasting impact on hip-hop and music culture, despite his recordings circulating for years solely through samples.
With the digital reintroduction of his catalog, Norman Feels’ music is now accessible to a wider audience for the first time. “Everything is Going Our Way,” “You Can’t Stop My Love,” and “Today” are the first three tracks available on digital streaming platforms.
For decades, Feels’ music could be heard primarily through samples used by influential hip-hop artists, including Freddie Gibbs, Nas, DMX, Ghostface Killah, and many more. With this release, listeners can finally hear the full works behind the fragments that helped shape hip-hop into what it is today.
“We’re thrilled to be in a position to steward this extraordinary and quietly influential body of work,” said Frank Liwall, CEO of Royalty Network & President of KMG Distribution. “Norman Feels deserves to be heard by new generations, and we’re honored that his family has entrusted the Royalty Network and KMG to preserve and share his legacy with the world.”
“This opportunity reflects a big step forward in KMG’s catalog acquisition strategy,” added Ross Robey, VP of Distribution, KMG Distribution. “We’re honored to be able to share the Norman Feels catalog with new generations that may only have heard the portions of it that have been sampled by some of hip-hop’s most influential voices. And, together with The Royalty Network, we’re proud to continue to invest in legacy music that continues to drive culture today.”
“Norman’s music was always meant to be shared with the world—a hope our entire family […] held during Norman’s time, and that our family now carries forward in his memory,” said Norman Feels’ sister, Gerri. “We are thrilled to have entrusted our longtime partners at The Royalty Network and KMG to help Norman’s brilliance reach the audience it has always deserved.”
