Wilco‘s annual Sky Blue Sky Mexico destination festival went down last week at the Hard Rock Hotel at Riviera Maya, with a lineup that included Dr. Dog, Dinosaur Jr., MJ Lenderman, Waxahatchee (and Snocaps, her project with her twin sister Allison Crutchfield, with Lenderman also in the band), Yo La Tengo, The Jayhawks, Michael Shannon & Jason Narducy play R.E.M., Valerie June, Hurray for the Riff Raff, Wilco themselves, and member-involved projects including The Autumn Defense, Golden Smog, and Jeff Tweedy. We already posted about a few exciting onstage collaborations that happened at the festival — including Lenderman and J Mascis covering Neil Young — and below, you can find a set of pictures from the whole long weekend by Brigid Gallagher.

Wilco played three separate sets at Sky Blue Sky, and they covered The Beatles’ “Tomorrow Never Knows” at the first of those. It’s a song they’ve played live before, but this time it was in tribute to the late Bob Weir, as Weir joined them to perform it during their 2013 Americanarama tour. Watch video of the Sky Blue Sky performance below.
