Trevor Noah Promises 2026 is His Last Time Hosting the Grammys

Trevor Noah will host the Grammy Awards for the sixth year in a row, but CBS confirms it will be the comedian’s final time hosting the ceremony.

On Tuesday, CBS announced that comedian Trevor Noah will host the upcoming Grammy Awards for the sixth year in a row. However, executive producer Ben Winston confirmed that it would be Noah’s final time on hosting duty for the ceremony.

Besides marking Noah’s last Grammys hosting gig, 2026 will also be the last time the ceremony will air on CBS after a partnership that started in 1973. Next year, the show will move over to ABC and Disney+, where it will live through 2036.

“I am beyond thrilled to welcome Trevor Noah back to host the Grammys for his sixth, and sadly, final time,” said Winston. “He’s been the most phenomenal host of the show. He’s so smart, so funny, and such a true fan of the artists and music. His impact on the show has been truly spectacular, and we can’t wait to do it together one last time.”

Trevor Noah’s first time hosting the Grammys was in 2021, when he took over from Alicia Keys, host of the 2019 and 2020 shows. The 2021 ceremony took place amid challenging conditions during the COVID-19 pandemic, and organizers implemented enhanced safety precautions, including social distancing and the use of multiple stages.

Since then, Noah has hosted every Grammys ceremony, including last year’s show, which took place in the wake of the devastating Los Angeles County wildfires.

The 2026 Grammys kick off at the Crypto.com Arena on February 1 at 5 PM PT on CBS and Paramount+. Top nominees in the biggest categories for the 68th Grammy Awards include Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter, Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish, Doechii, and Rosé. Performers for the event have yet to be announced, but are expected to be revealed in the next couple of weeks.
