Mastodon: new limited color vinyl variants, collector’s mag, t-shirt & more for pre-order

Revolver Magazine is celebrating 25 years of Mastodon with a new special collector’s issue. It’s 100 pages with embossed type and a UV-coated cover, and features exclusive new interviews with the band’s Brann Dailor, Bill Kelliher, and Troy Sanders, along with commentary from members of TOOL, Slayer, Judas Priest, Gojira, and more. There are three covers, one with the current lineup by Sean Murphy, a Leviathan-era cover by Jimmy Hubbard, and an illustrated cover by their longtime collaborator Paul Romano.

The collector’s issue is available on its own, in a numbered slipcase with a Romano illustration titled “Memento Vivre (XXV),” and with a 12×12″ signed Romano print and exclusive “white/green merge splatter” variant of Leviathan. There’s also a super bundle that includes:

• Leviathan on white/green merge splatter vinyl
• Blood Mountain on solid orange vinyl
• Crack the Skye on black vinyl
• The Hunter on transparent yellow vinyl
• Emperor of Sand on 2LP black vinyl

The Blood Mountain, Emperor of Sand, and The Hunter variants are also each available separately and with a signed 12×12″ Romano print, and there’s also a limited edition t-shirt, and slipmat. Pick up all that and more in the BV shop.
