English Teacher tap Fontaines D.C., Daniel Avery, more for remix album, played 3 NYC shows (pics)
English Teacher have announced a remix album of their fantastic, Mercury Prize-winning debut album, This Could Be Texas. This Could Be a Remix Album is out this Friday (10/10) via Island, and features contributions from Fontaines D.C. (as FDC DJs), Daniel Avery, Water From Your Eyes, Baxter Dury, Working Men’s Club, Silver Gore, and more. They haven’t shared an advance single from it, but you can see the tracklist below.
“So grateful that some of our favourite contemporary artists and friends were up for doing this with us x,” English Teacher say.
Meanwhile, the band wrapped up their North American tour with a trio of NYC shows towards the end of September, at TV Eye, Mercury Lounge, and Night Club 101. See pictures from the Mercury Lounge show (the second of the three nights) by Toby Tenenbaum below.
