On Tuesday, Adobe announced a new partnership with Universal Music Group (UMG) and Warner Music Group (WMG) to bring fully licensed music clips from leading artists directly to Adobe Premiere mobile. By combining music from two of the world’s leading music companies with Premiere mobile’s video editing tools, Adobe aims to make it easier for creators to discover the tracks they love, shape their video around the music, and share their stories across one platform.
With music from two of the major label giants integrated directly into Premiere mobile, creators can make videos around the songs that inspire them from the first cut. Whether jumping on the latest trend or creating something entirely new, users will have more ways to bring their creative vision to life using popular music as the backdrop for their videos.
“The way people experience and engage with music extends far beyond traditional listening platforms,” added Rachel Scarpati, VP, Digital Strategy and Business Development, WMG. “Our partnership with Adobe Premiere mobile integrated WMG’s catalog directly into the creative process, opening up new possibilities for creative expression and deeper fan engagement.”
Creators can add up to 60 seconds of a popular track directly to their video, either from scratch or using customizable templates paired with music. Users can export finished videos in Premiere mobile and post them to their favorite licensed social platforms, such as YouTube Shorts or Instagram Reels.
Users can also take advantage of Premiere’s powerful editing capabilities, including video tools, audio tools, and Adobe Firefly-powered AI features. Music from UMG and WMG will arrive soon on Premiere mobile, with tracks licensed for personal, non-commercial use. For projects that require commercially licensed music, users can continue to access Adobe Stock Audio.
