Watch Olivia Rodrigo cover CMAT’s “When a Good Man Cries”

We’re less than a month away from the release of Olivia Rodrigo‘s third album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, and she’s given a new performance on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge. It includes her new single “the cure” (the one she says “has nothing to do with the band”) and a cover of CMAT’s “When A Good Man Cries,” off her fantastic 2025 album Euro Country (one of our favorites of the year). She’s backed by a string section for both, and you can watch below.

CMAT recorded herself watching Olivia’s cover, writing, “she sang it better than me so now im toast . @oliviarodrigo pints ?” Olivia commented in reply, “I LITERALLY LOVE U SM.” Watch that below as well.
