Weezer announce fall arena tour with The Shins & Silversun Pickups, preparing new album

Weezer have been posting teaser to social media for the past week, and now they’ve announced “Weezer: The Gathering,” a North American arena tour that will hit 32 cities this fall. They’ll be joined by The Shins and Silversun Pickups for the shows, which follow their Voyage to the Blue Planet tour, and you can see all dates below.

The tour includes a Brooklyn show at Barclays Center on September 30. Tickets to that and all dates go on sale Friday, April 3 at 10 AM local time, with various presales starting Tuesday, March 31 at 10 AM local time.

Weezer are also teasing a new song, “Shine Again,” that they’ll release on April 1, the first single from their currently untitled new album, which will be their first for Reprise/Warner. Stay tuned.

Ahead of the tour, Weezer will hold “Weezer: The Gathering – Initiation Week” in Los Angeles over the next week, including a trivia night at Barney’s Beanery, a pickleball tournament against the band, and more. Details will be posted on the band’s site and social media.
