Richard Ashcroft announces first solo album in 7 years, touring with Oasis

Former The Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft has announced Loving You, his first solo album in seven years, which will be out October 3 via Virgin. He made the album with producers Chris Potter and Emre Ramazanoglu, except for “I’m a Rebel,” which was co-written and produced by Mirwais (who you may remember worked on Madonna’s 1999 album, Music).

The full tracklist for Loving You has not been revealed yet, but it will include recent single “Lover,” which is the only song released from the album so far. You can listen to that and check out the album’s cover art below.

Richard will spend the summer opening for the reunited Oasis, starting Friday, July 4 in Cardiff, Wales. All dates are listed below.
