Resonance Studios

Resonance Studios is a completely unique British studio, packed with hundreds (350+) of classic and rare synths, keyboards, samplers, drum machines and more.

We took a tour around with studio owner John Pilkington showing RussCottier the vast collection of electronic instruments in Stockport.  This is an amazingly different studio that has at its heart an SSL ORIGIN console at its heart with Focal monitoring.

John says “This collection has taken over 20 years to assemble and we are opening this up to you, to write, create and record over 300 pieces of elite equipment, used by the biggest artists on the most iconic tracks.”

Resonance has an in house technical team with vast experience with maintaining equipment and have maintained instruments including Synths, Samplers, drum machines from the 1960s onwards. This includes all the equipment at the studio with brands such as Moog, Oberheim, Roland, Arp, Yamaha etc.

ARP 2600 mk2 Synthesiser – The Arp 2600 Rev 2 is a legendary analogue semi-modular Synthesizer that was produced by ARP Instruments, Inc.

ARP Odyssey Mk1 is a legendary analogue Synthesizer that was first introduced in 1972 by ARP Instruments, Inc.

ARP Omni 2 is a classic polyphonic analogue synthesizer released in 1978 by ARP Instruments.

The Arp Quadra, produced by ARP Instruments in the late 1970s, is a vintage analogue Synthesizer that offers a unique combination of features.

Solina String Ensemble, introduced in the mid-1970s by the Dutch company Eminent, is a classic string Synthesizer renowned for its lush and warm orchestral string sounds.
