Ratboys played Night Club 101 (pics, video, setlist)

The night before their headlining Brooklyn show at Warsaw with Florry, Ratboys played a second NYC show, announced at the last minute and happening at intimate East Village spot Night Club 101. The band referenced the venue’s history (it was formerly the site of Pyramid Club) during their set, shouting out Red Hot Chili Peppers, who made their NYC live debut there, twice.

There was no opener for the late show, and in addition to a bunch of songs from their great new album Singin’ to an Empty Chair, Ratboys broke out a few deep cuts that they said they wouldn’t play the next night, including two songs from their second album, 2017’s GN, “Elvis Is in the Freezer” and “Molly,” and four from 2020’s Printer’s Devil.

See photos from the show by Amanda M Hatfield below, along with the setlist and attendee-taken video.
