Listen to Gorillaz’s collab with IDLES, “The God of Lying”

Gorillaz have shared shared “The God of Lying,” their collab with IDLES, from upcoming album The Mountain. Co-written by Damon Albarn and Joe Talbot, the song was recorded in London, Devon and Mumbai, with contributions from Ajay Prasanna on bansuri and percussion by Viraj Acharya.

Talbot is in low-key mode here and his slurry vocal style is perfect for the chilled-out, dubby vibes of “The God is Lying,” a song that is in the same universe as Gorillaz’s “Clint Eastwood.” Listen below.

The Mountain is out March 20 and also features appearances from Sparks, Johnny Marr, Yasiin Bey, Omar Souleyman, Anoushka Shankar, The Roots’ Black Thought, Gruff Rhys and more.

Sparks have UK and Ireland tour dates in the spring and will be on the European festival circuit in the summer including Primavera Sound, Best Kept Secret, Roskilde, Way Out West and more. All Dates are listed below.
