D4vd Pens Official Anthem for Fortnite’s Global Championship

Singer-songwriter D4vd partners with Epic Games to release the first-ever official anthem for Fortnite’s Global Championship, “Locked & Loaded.”

D4vd has partnered with Epic Games to release Fortnite’s first-ever official anthem, “Locked & Loaded.” The track will serve as the official Fortnite Global Championship Series Emote and Jam Track, where the top Fortnite players in the world compete in Lyon, France.

“Fortnite has been such a big part of my life and it’s what led me to make music in the first place,” says d4vd. “Being able to create the official anthem for Fortnite feels like a true full-circle moment.”

“Fortnite gave me a space to be creative and connect with people all over the world, and that same energy is what I wanted to put into this track,” he explains. “It’s more than a song—it’s me giving back to something that’s shaped my story as an artist. And even now, playing Fortnite is still my true passion.”

The breakout artist says he’s happy to join the ranks of stars like Travis Scott as “part of the lure” of Fortnite. He adds that he’s eager to watch the competition unfold.

“I’m honestly excited to just watch the finals and see who wins, and I’m excited for all of the players and fans to get to hear the song and have an anthem that belongs to them.”

“Locked & Loaded” is available now on streaming services, and made its in-game debut in Fortnite on Thursday.

The 33 qualified teams who earned their spot on the stage at LDLC Arena in Lyon-Décines, France, will battle to earn the most points across 12 matches to earn the title of Fortnite World Champions. The Global Championship takes place from 10 AM to 3:30 PM ET each day on September 6 and 7.

Fans can catch the action over on Fortnite’s official Twitch channel, and can even earn Twitch Drops for watching at least 60 minutes on each day of the tournament.
