The Jesus and Mary Chain announce ‘Psychocandy’ 40th anniversary edition on Third Man

The Jesus and Mary Chain‘s classic and endlessly influential debut album, Psychocandy, turns 40 later this fall, and to celebrate there’s a new 40th anniversary edition coming from November 14 via Third Man Records. (That’s four days shy of the album’s actual 40th anniversary.) This new edition was cut for vinyl by Warren Defever (His Name is Alive) at Third Man Mastering “using super high definition 192khz transfers of the original 1985 mix,” and comes in a single pocket sleeve.

The Jesus and Mary Chain will play Copenhagen’s Cannonball festival this weekend and the UK’s Shine On Weekender in November.
