Marquee TV partners with Quincy Jones’ Qwest TV to expand its music film offering with landmark performances across jazz and global music.

Marquee TV, the global streaming service for dance, opera, theatre, and contemporary music, has announced a strategic content partnership with Qwest TV, the music streaming platform founded by Quincy Jones. Launching September 1, the partnership brings an acclaimed slate of jazz, soul, global music, and contemporary performance films to Marquee TV subscribers worldwide.

Highlights from the deal include “Tribute to Roy Ayers featuring Robert Glasper Experiment, Pete Rock, and Stefon Harris”; “Gregory Porter — Liquid Spirit”; Brad Mehldau Trio; Cécile McLorin Salvant; Avishai Cohen Quintet; Hiromi’s Sonicwonder; Kokoroko; Salif Keita; “Youssou N’Dour & Le Super Etoile de Dakar; Femi Kuti & The Positive Force; and the “Quincy Jones: 85th Birthday Celebration.”

Drawn from some of Europe’s most respected festivals and concert halls—including Jazz à Vienne, Jazz in Marciac, Jazz à la Villette, Nancy Jazz Pulsations, Moods Zurich and the Philharmonie de Paris—the 50-title slate marks a major expansion of Marquee TV’s music offering. Featuring world-class festival and artist-led performances, it establishes Marquee TV as an expanded home for jazz, neo-soul, Afrobeat, and contemporary global music.

“Our audiences have long demonstrated a passion for jazz and global music, and Qwest TV offers an extraordinary catalog of performances that complements our existing programming beautifully,” said Edward Humphrey, CEO of Marquee TV.

“From Gregory Porter and Brad Mehldau to Salif Keita, Femi Kuti and Robert Glasper, these films showcase some of the most compelling artists working today. Together, Marquee TV and Qwest TV are creating a richer culture destination that connects classical music, jazz, global traditions, and contemporary artistic expression.”
