SLIPPERS
LA band Slippers, whose new record Slippers 08 made our Indie Basement Best of 2026 So Far (Mid-Year) list, are on tour this month with stops in Chicago, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, DC, Baltimore, Philly, NYC (TV Eye on 9/24 with Tchotchke), and Burlington.

SPOON SUMMERSTAGE AFTERPARTY at NIGHT CLUB 101
Spoon play a free show at SummerStage in Central Park on July 8 with Ratboys and Bodega, and after that show Spoon’s Britt Daniel and the other two bands will head downtown to DJ the afterparty which is at Night Club 101. Starts at 11 PM and it’s free.

LOU BARLOW 60TH BIRTHDAY PARTY W/ FRANK BLACK, ADAM GREEN, MORE
Lou Barlow turns 60 on July 17 and will celebrate a couple weeks later on August 7 at Shea Theater Arts Center in Great Falls, MA. Performing will be Black Francis, Adam Green, Jeffrey Lewis, Bobby Bare Jr, Sick of Fun (Deep Wound tribute which could end up being actual Deep Wound), and more with Sunburned Hand of the Man as the house band.

HORSE JUMPER OF LOVE
Horse Jumper of Love are celebrating 10 years of their self-titled debut and have added more shows to the tour.
